Silence sits on the sideline
As the universe passes by
Millions of stars crying blue
Pleading to a heavy moon
And shadows on bended knee
Praying to their own deity
And when the whispering ends
And all the great things say goodbye
Silence will stand with back straight
And use its very golden voice
To speak wisdom into what’s left
A time
to be silent
a time
to speak
and wisdom
to know
the time

But there will be no more,
As that end comes after Wisdom has lain herself down
Finally complete against the grand experiment of being,
This shattered song of reckless folly.
In that last pause there can be no coda,
No being or knowledge or hope of understanding
As that that is passed away into the depths of what was
And Silence herself will perceive no more
And even memory spreads thin past breaking
