Voices swim by

Muted as I drown

In the crystal calm

Away from sound

Light fades slowly

Dancing in waves

Blissful asphyxiation

Subaquatic grave

I breathe the depths

Into my burning lungs

Feeling the warmth

Of its liquid tongues

Deprived of vital air

Existence seeps away

I turn to face the darkness

No desire to stay

Lingering reflections

Dive into a deeper tide

And I follow them

As they allow me to ride

Plunging to the black

Bracing for the end

I let my demons take me

Willingly transcend

Beautiful. Reminds me of a fiction I once wrote…kinda, but this is far more succinct and beautiful 🙂
