You laugh, I smile
Taking your hand
We walk barefoot
Jumping in puddles
Lacking in buoyancy
Weighed down by
Heavy hearts filled with love
Feeling the grass
Nestled between teasing toes
We play like children
Purposely falling together
Parallel to earth
We lay connected
Taking your hand once again
We talk nonsense about the stars
Jumping from conversations
Just to hear the others voice
We count the shooting stars
Making wishes as they fall
We laugh easily
Enjoying each others smiles
Deep into the moon filled night
As the moon began to wave farewell
I looked at you with misty eyes
And without a word
You pulled me into your arms
