Written by Christopher Rupley and Hastywords
This night feels so angry and uptight,
with air almost too dense to breathe
and the stars seem much more distant
as I stand pondering my new reality
The salty moisture in the air
invades the pores of my flesh,
taunting me,
showing me simple
yet consistent pain,
revealing my struggle
There is little time to fret
upon the imprints made,
the outlines coerced
and drawn against my will
A careful calculus
drowns my misery,
and pseudo self-efficacy
lends itself quite well
to the war raging inside,
but still I decide to
take the path littered
by obstruction,
the road less traveled…
Being me, truthfully believe there is no road, untravelled! Yet, trudging a new path throughout humanity…
