Autumn Joy

I’ve been finding it hard to find time to write lately and this duet partner was super patient. His blog is full of absolutely beautiful and uplifting words. Enjoy our first duet.

Oranges and reds rustle out my window
As dawn reaches in and warms my skin
I lie in the sun, like leaves on the ground
Bathing in the light, worries wash away

Joy comes in the form of chattering geese
Carrying me from summer with their song
Breathing in the beauty of this perfect moment
Peace is flowing through the brisk autumn air

We change as the seasons do
In faith we must accept and grow
Footsteps land just outside the door
Reminding us there is so much more

This was written in collaboration with the wonderful Hastywords at It was an absolute pleasure working with her and I recommend checking her blog out!
