I got swept up
Sidetracked
Up smacked
By inevitability
Wind chimed
With rhymes
Sending me
On a reverie Lost track of time Behind feelings As I drifted
Floated away
Blindsided
Without a care
Through space Through time A whirlwind Sending me Into tailspins A wondrous ride A carefree world I’ve never known Gifted to me Inside the insanity Left behind In the aftershocks Lingering In the aftermath Of you
So passionate and spontaneous! Brimming over with emotion! Whatever you’ve got, it could light up New York! Keep them coming and I’ll send you a plastic whistle. LOL! I think, seeing this, that when I write poetry, I’m too inclined to rhyme everything, so I miss out on a lot of the mellow drama. So I can’t let my feelers flow. I think next time I’ll write something that makes no sense to me what-so-ever, and perhaps that will do the trick. Great composition! Great learning experience for me!
Sometimes writing feels like rhyming and sometimes it just feels like flowing and sometimes what makes no sense to us makes sense to someone else and vice versa.
