It’s hard for me to see

Through the smoke

What remains unseen

Cloaked in mystery

I don’t know where I am

What needs to be done

Where to go from here

I am looking for answers

They must be somewhere

Somewhere out of my reach

I close my lids over blinded eyes

And test the sounds for clues

I hear my heart beating

And then I feel it too

Marching somewhere

A place I cannot see

A place where I would like to be

Where my dreams come true

Where fantasies come alive

Where I am no longer trapped

But where is this place

It’s hard for me to see
