Streams of orange Torrents of black Dangled overhead Twisting and turning Ebbing and flowing Driving me mad
The haunting grows closer I can’t stand to watch I know what is coming The fear, the bleeding The ethereal attacks Spirits mad as hell
A feeding frenzy hidden I can hear the gnawing But the guttural moans Are silently concealed Beneath the floorboards Of those dancing To the “Monster Mash”
He was the new kid at school And I knew there was something off Every single kid I knew, oblivious To his charismatic and inviting call Enjoy the punch his family said Enjoy the treats one and all
Friends and family dance away Ignorant of their fate They don’t know what lurks below My panicked scream shatters The rapturous celebration I fear it’s way too late
The ceiling began to bleed A crimson waterfall The sound of people screaming Drowned in gurgled blood They scampered for the exits But there was no escape
Looking back on that night There was nothing I could do Now part of the ambiance I wait For the next party to be thrown It’s my turn to be the new kid Luring you into this Halloween charade
This reminds me a little bit of Stephen Kings’ book Carry (The Rage – movie)
Very well done the two of you… 🙂

I would suggest to compile your writings for a short movie. Your post has a reality and honesty, which is highly needed and appreciated it!
